My daughter was born via cesarean
delivery and had breathing difficulties.
She was admitted to the sick newborn
care unit of the hospital immediately
after birth. I was also not producing
enough milk to feed my baby. I was filled
with guilt for not being able to feed her. It
was then that I was informed about the
milk bank at the hospital. After taking my
consent, the doctors gave pasteurized
donor human milk to my baby. I was
relieved that my baby was finally getting
mother’s milk. I was also educated about
kangaroo mother care and its benefits.
Thanks to the staff at the milk bank that
my baby is now healthy and growing well.
Pasteurized donor
human milk was a boon
for my baby.
