We regularly meet mothers who share

experiences of mastitis, cracked nipple,
retracted nipple, engorgement, and social
problems related to breastfeeding. The
CLMC at our hospital allows these mothers
privacy and a healthy environment to share

all their problems. We guide these mothers
and help them in nurturing a strong
bond with their newborn. We promote

breastfeeding by organizing ‘Stanpan
Divas’, a breastfeeding week celebration
each year. Our donor mothers have played
an integral role in spreading the word about
the milk bank in the city. These champion

mothers encourage donation of breastmilk
to help other mothers and babies. Over the
years, we have witnessed a decline in death

rates for neonates, and donor human milk

is probably one of the reasons behind this.
